

Some time ago, we asked ourselves how the Solar System would look like in a frame of reference other than the Heliocentric one.
To find an answer, we started developing software able to trace out the paths of the planets of the Solar System as they would appear to an observer sitting on one of them.
The results were so graphically appealing and conceptually intriguing that we thought it would be great to print them on high-quality posters.
That's the moment Almagesto was born.
In the video above, you can see the movements of the planets as they appear from Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, etc...
The Earth's perspective on the Solar System was indeed the only one available to us for thousands of years. And is from that picture of the sky that astronomers have deduced the laws underlying the dynamics of our local universe.
